Download and install Xming, (https://sourceforge.net/projects/xming/)
Download and install PuTTY
Open PuTTY and configure the following in Connection > SSH > X11:
• Enable X11 forwarding: check
• X display location::0.0 • Remote X11 authentication protocol: MIT-Magic-Cookie-1 • X authority file for local display: Enter the path to Xming.exe here, (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Xming\Xming.exe)
Go to Session
(Optional) Save your PuTTY settings for future use under "Saved Sessions" by entering a name and then by clicking Save
Enter the Host Name/IP of the machine you'd like to reach via SSH and authenticate when prompted
