Office 365 & Apple Mail: Add Account to iPhone
Before starting, ensure you have your Office 365 login credentials and can complete Duo authentication.
These steps are verified on iOS 18.3.1.
To add your @cshl.edu email account to Apple's Mail app, following these steps:
- Open Settings
- Go to Settings > Apps > Mail, then tap Mail Accounts.
- Make sure the account is removed before proceeding. Select the existing account, and select Delete Account, then Delete from iPhone.
- Add an Account
- Tap Add Account, then select Microsoft Exchange.
- Enter Email Details – Type in your @cshl.edu email address and add a description for your account. Tap Next.
- When prompted with "Sign in to your 'cshl.edu' Exchange account...", tap Sign In.
- On the next pop-up, "Settings Wants to Use 'microsoftonline.com' to Sign In," tap Continue.
- Complete Login & DUO Authentication.
- A Safari window will open, prompting you to sign in.
- Enter your email and password, then complete Duo authentication.
- After authentication, Safari will close, and you’ll return to the Mail setup screen.
- Configure Sync Settings
- Choose which data to sync (Mail, Contacts, Calendars, etc.),
- Tap Save in the top-right corner.
- Verify Setup – Open the Mail app and confirm that your inbox loads successfully.
