Office 365 & Outlook: Add Account to Android

Step 1: Download & Open Outlook

  1. If you don’t have it already, download the Outlook app from the Google Play Store.

  2. Open the Outlook app on your Android device.


Step 2: Add Your Office 365 Account

  1. If this is your first time using Outlook:

    • Tap Get Started.

    • Enter your Office 365 email address (e.g., yourname@cshl.edu).

    • Tap Continue.

  2. If you already have another account in Outlook:

    • Tap your profile icon (top left corner).

    • Tap Add Account.

    • Select Add Email Account.

    • Enter your Office 365 email address and tap Continue.


Step 3: Authenticate Your Account

  1. Outlook will redirect you to Microsoft’s sign-in page.

  2. Enter your password and tap Sign In.

  3. Complete Duo authentication.

  4. Tap Accept if prompted to allow access.


Step 4: Configure Sync Settings

  1. Choose what to sync (Mail, Contacts, Calendars).

  2. Tap Next or Done.


Step 5: Finalize Setup

  1. Outlook may ask if you’d like to add another account – tap Maybe Later if you’re done.

  2. Tap Skip or Enable Notifications based on your preference.

  3. Outlook will now load your inbox.
