If you have recently changed your CSHL network password, you will need to update it in the Thunderbird mail application to continue receiving email.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Open Settings
- Click the gear icon in the bottom-left corner of the left-hand menu.
- Go to Saved Passwords
- Navigate to Privacy & Security, then locate the Passwords section and click Saved Passwords…
- Remove the Old Password
- Find the entry for your email account and remove the entire entry.
- Restart Thunderbird
- Close the Settings window, then fully quit and restart the Thunderbird application.
- Enter Your New Password
- When Thunderbird restarts and attempts to fetch mail, a pop-up will appear requesting your password.
- You will be redirected to the CSHL Single Sign-On login screen. Enter your new password and select Save when prompted
Once completed, Thunderbird should resume normal mail delivery.
